Abstract: Women in the society have always been most vulnerable group. The health of the women is important for the development of the society. In most of the case women are consider as burden. Apart from the existence of such vertical divides in terms of rural-urban areas, there are horizontal divisions in the form of gender differentiations in each vertical cluster. Drought is coming up as very common hazard in this region. The nutrition intake is already low in women and droughts are making the situation worst in near future. The results show that physical health problems and maternal health problems are affected by various socio-economic indicators and cultural practices. These indicators are mostly related to women’s status in society. The stable diet of women is the major cause for physical and mental health problems faced by them. It is important to explain the importance of different food groups and their role in the life of the women.
