Abstract: The report recommends installation of a 50 MWp Solar Photovoltaic Power Project in the solar park at REWA in Madhya Pradesh. The objective of the project was to create a well structured master plan and detailed project report for designing a solar plant (solar park). The project includes all aspects of a solar plant including civil structures, solar photovoltaic and its electrical components, power evacuation, clearances and various other consulting activities mentioned in the scope of work drafted by SECI. The project is proposed to be undertaken under 100% sale to discom. The proposed business model envisages to benefit from the perks that are associated with a solar park like ready infrastructure and fiscal incentives. Policy assessment & commercial viability has been demonstrated to be in favor of proposed development. It is recommended that the project be undertaken on a debt: equity model and in a ratio of 60: 40. The project life cycle is estimated to be 25 years. The project costing is estimated to be 346.23 crores which is 6.92 Crores per MW of installed capacity with a payback period of 8 years. The project is envisaged to be developed with a Polycrystalline Solar Photovoltaic Technology which is well established and proven both in domestic and international energy production markets. The project is envisaged to achieve a Capacity Utilization Factor of 19.0% and Performance Ratio of 79.4 % of benchmark theoretical values simulated by PV Syst. The project is found techno- commercially feasible and is suitable to be immediately undertaken for development.
