Abstract: COLLABORATIVE STUDY ON THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS AND LEARNING CENTERS ASSOCIATED WITH VIVA INDIA TRUST IN DELHI REGION
The Constitution (Eighty sixth Amendments) Act, 2002 inserted Article 21A in the Constitution of India to provide free and compulsory education of all children in the age group of six to fourteen years as a Fundamental Right in such a manner as the State may, by law, determine.
To be educated or to have an education is to have acquired one of the most important instruments for Social and Economic Transformation. Quality education is the need of the hour for India in order to enable the country in creating a skilled workforce to take advantage of our Demographic Dividend due to our comparatively young population.
The aim of the study is to understand the current quality in Education and the challenges towards enabling knowledge as a means for economic and social transformation for the people and the country with the help of different Stakeholders of VIVA INDIA TRUST in Delhi NCR.
The study will also try to look at the form of education being imparted worldwide and the trends with their underlying characteristics. The different stakeholders will allow us to understand the reasons behind the general shift of Education from being pursued for Knowledge and Self satisfaction to the current form of being a medium to attain Materialistic benefits or obtaining Credentials without attaining real knowledge.
The various education programmes Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), The Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009 and Mid-Day Meal Scheme (MDMS), under the Ministry of Human Resource Development are studied in detail.
Solutions being proposed have their basis in the primary and secondary research collaborating with different stakeholders accessible through VIVA INDIA TRUST.
