Abstract: The project Report documents the brief overview of wastewater treatment plants
(WWTP) and the stages involved in the treatment process. It gives an overview
of the different types of technologies and processes that are used during the
Secondary (biological) Treatment. This project discusses briefly about the
processes followed by STP’s in the Delhi region and their capacity, actual flow,
effluent quality etc. The project documents the energy consumed in different
types of technologies used in wastewater treatment in Delhi region. The energy
consumption data used in the project is prepared with the help of secondary
data and data collected through the questionnaire. An analysis and comparison
of energy consumption details of different processes used by public STPs as well
as privately installed STPs is done.
