The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor.

Number of Post: 1 (One) Regular

Eligibility Criteria:

i. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
ii. National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission

Thematic areas: Environmental Science and Natural Resources

Specialization: Ecology, Biodiversity, Carbon Sequestration

Desirable Qualification: Candidates with PhD in desired specialization with expertise in GIS, Statistics and/or Machine Learning shall be given preference. Demonstrated ability to attract national and international research funding and develop international collaborations. The candidate should be able to design and teach courses in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science and Resource Management programmes.

Pay Scale: • Under the prescribed U.G.C. Pay-scale.
