Abstract: The development of Master Plan for Transport Hub has to take into account two main components sanctioned by MoRT&H in the form of Institute of Driving Training Research (IDTR) and Inspection & Certification Centers (I&C).. There will be other activities also, besides the complementary activities, which will make the transport hub a useful functionary to provide better business opportunities to industrialists and at the same time will be instrumental for social and economic upliftment of the local people.
The components for the transport hub have to be carefully thought off keeping in view the revenue generation for the Transport Hub Society as a major consideration while, at the same time, due consideration is to be given to the objectives with which the transport hub is incepted.
The proposed site for Transport Hub admeasures 9.97 ha approximately (350mx285m). The nearest road to the site area is Railmagra-Dariba (MDR), now proposed as NH 162 A, which has a 2-lane carriageway
The traffic on Railmagra-Dariba-Fatehnagar is bound to increase with the development of the two centers and the transport hub in the years ahead. It was agreed in a meeting held under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, MoRT&H on Feb 23, 2013 that this road would be widened under an appropriate scheme of GoI.
Situated at the top of Kolhua hill. The destination has a great potential to be good tourist and pilgrimage attraction point. Known as the Vaishnodevi of Jharkhand, it has a pedestrian pathway of 3.5 km, which gradually takes to the elevation of approzly 300mtrs.
This place has connections to 3 religions, and 1 tribe. The scenic beauty can also attract people from nearby areas for picnic. The pond at the centre hill top is major point of attraction.
Lack of any type basic facilities has deprived this place from its actual potential. The place still witnesses a daily footfall of around 4000 people per day. During Ramnaumi or any other auspicious day the visitor number rises to 80,000.
The connection to Buddhists and some inscription of Ashoka’s era can make it popular between foreign Tourists. As it is situated close to the Buddhist religious circuit of Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, Rajgir, etc. The whole intension of the project is to develop this area and make it a prime hub of tourist attraction.
Provision of basic amenities and other services which can bring more tourist and revenue has to be explored. We have tried to develop a SPV for this project and also look into the different phases in which this project can be completed.
