VASUNDHARA – Introduction

What started as a positive channelling of energy during the first lockdown by Rajesh Kumar (student of MBA BS batch 2019), TERI SAS’s very own sustainability magazine run by students:- Vasundhara has evolved into something no one imagined it to be. While we have already put out various editions which are vast in the topics they cover, one thing that binds them all is the intent to be approachable to all classes of readers irrespective of their depth of knowledge on the subject. We function as an independent department of the Eco Club and this allows us to maintain our creative integrity and liberty along with the unique voices of the entire team.

Vasundhara comprehensively embodies diverse youth opinions along with the views of field experts on several contemporary burning topics. What makes it even more enriching are the exclusive interviews with eminent personalities.

Vasundhara is a complete package containing intellectual writeups loaded with factual information, constructive way forward and opinions. It is curated keeping a holistic and global perspective in mind that includes legislations, conventions, regulations and traditional knowledge systems under numerous distinguished themes.

With the 5th edition, Vasundhara came into existence in the hard copy version and it is now placed at the University library and reception. A copy of all editions are kept with the Vice Chancellor and at TERI (corporate office).

We hope to bring Vasundhara to a wider audience with future editions and generate awareness about the current climate crisis and how sustainability can act as a weapon to fight against it. In times like these, we feel the urge to disseminate opinions of youth which are unbiased, thought provoking and based on ground reality. The magazine is an effective tool to carry our voices to the policy makers and industry experts to bring real change. Vasundhara's approach is a summation of the ESG principles and we have tried to deliver the same through our editions.
